Solid Oak Timbers, cut on site

Our artisan carpenters are at work fitting timbers for the family room ceiling in our Spring 2100 Parade home.  These timbers were cut from tress felled on the Edina site, a fun story for the family that will live in this home.  At over 400 pounds per timber, it’s a tough job.  We’ll be using similar timbers and planks in the ceiling of the lower level Ratscallar (German pub room)  .

Check back for more photos later this week!

New home North Oaks

This is my first project in North Oaks, and with the slow building market, we were the first builder to apply for a new home permit in the city.

It’ll be a spectacular project! This family oriented home features a full stone exterior, slate roof, heavily wooded site, amazing location…

We just cleared the site this week. Check back for progress photos and exterior concept drawings.

Parade of Homes tour begins today, Minneapolis

Perfection just off Lake Harriet! This custom built home was designed by Alexander design, interior design by Stonewood, furnished by Martha O’Hara Interior design

The parade of homes (sm) begins today! Come out and visit out home, #157. Parade of Homes website.

4002 Queen Avenue south, Minneapolis. Just a block off lake Harriet in Linden Hills.

Ceiling detail abounds in this French, Orono lake home

The 5th, often forgotten wall, the ceiling is often the key to making a room feel complete and cohesive in design. This concept was well understood by our client. They had recently moved back to Minnesota from a few years living in Paris. High ceilings, tall multi-part crown, beams, applied moldings were critical elements of their home’s design.
