A Tradition of Giving Back

At Stonewood and Revision, we believe that the joy of a new home should be shared. That’s why we’ve established this tradition: with every move-in celebration, we donate a home on behalf of our clients to a family in need, a family for whom safe, dignified housing would otherwise remain an unattainable dream.

This tradition embodies our core belief that we can bless our clients’ new homes by extending that blessing to others. Through our partnership with The 141 Project, each client move-in celebration becomes more than a milestone, it becomes a life-changing gift for another family.

When our clients Paul and Michele celebrated their new home, they participated in this tradition of generosity. Below is the story of Fabian and Tiburcia, the family whose lives have been transformed through this circle of blessing.

The Story of Fabian and Tiburcia

Fabian (47) and his wife Tiburcia (also 47) live in El Rejón, Sumpango. They have three children, though two have already started families of their own. Their youngest son, Alvaro, is 17 years old. He left school after second grade and now works alongside his father in farming.

Fabian works as a day laborer and also grows corn and green beans. The corn feeds the family, while the green beans are sold at the local market. Alvaro helps him in the fields. Tiburcia, a housewife, mother, has been facing serious health challenges. In 2023, she lost a toe due to complications from diabetes, and the family has struggled to afford her ongoing medical treatment.

Their home consisted of two small bedrooms made from sheets of tin with a concrete floor. One room was shared by Fabian and Tiburcia, while the second was shared by their son Alvaro, his older brother Luis, and Luis’s wife Evelyn. Their kitchen was made of tin sheets with a dirt floor.

When our social work team conducted a socio-economic study, it was clear this family was living in extreme poverty. In her own words, Tiburcia said:

“I was born in a house made of corn stalks, and I thought I would die in a house made of tin. I always dreamed of having a nice home, but we’ve never had the money to build one.”

Thanks to The 141 Project, that dream is becoming a reality. Fabian and Tiburcia now have a safe, solid space of their own, a home that brings dignity, comfort, and hope.

New home delivery

Receiving their new home, a home filled with hope and security.

This transformation was made possible as a result of Paul and Michele endeavoring to build their dream home, and selecting Stonewood as their builder. Your investment and the years of hard work has created more than just a house, it has built a legacy of love, restoration, and faith for another family in a distant community.

Through your home, another family is receiving hope, restoration, and the love of Christ. You’ve not only built your dream, you’ve helped build theirs.
