Position overview

We are seeking a reliable Field Technician / General Laborer to support our jobsite teams across all phases of custom home construction. This role keeps our sites running, handling material movement, site cleanliness, basic construction tasks, and hands-on support for carpenters, subcontractors, and the project superintendent. You will be a key part of keeping projects safe, organized, and on schedule, with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow into the trade.


Key Responsibilities

  • Site Support: Load, unload, move, and stage materials, tools, and equipment as directed.
  • Jobsite Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; remove debris and manage waste daily.
  • General Construction Tasks: Assist with demolition, basic framing support, blocking, backing, and other hands-on tasks under supervision.
  • Tool & Equipment Care: Operate hand and power tools safely; help maintain and account for tools and equipment.
  • Crew Assistance: Support carpenters, subcontractors, and the superintendent to keep work moving efficiently.
  • Site Readiness: Help with material deliveries, basic measurements, and prep work to keep the schedule on track.

education, experience, and skills required

  • Reliable transportation and consistent, on-time attendance.
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
  • Basic familiarity with hand and power tools (preferred, not required—willing to train the right person).
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn the trade.
